The short answer

How much is one yuan in naira?

CNYNGN

There is no single universal yuan-to-naira price. An official reference rate, a parallel-market quote and a payment provider's executable rate can differ because they describe different markets and may exclude fees. For a real invoice, compare the total NGN you send with the exact CNY your recipient receives.

Unigox shows the payable amount before you fund the order. A displayed quote is specific to the invoice, funding source and moment you request it.

Why we do not publish an RMB to naira black market rate

A search for an RMB to naira black market rate is really one question: what will this invoice cost me? An informal cash quote cannot answer it. It is unverifiable, it differs between the people quoting it, and it commits nobody to paying your supplier.

Unigox publishes an indicative CNY to NGN reference rate for orientation, then prices your specific invoice. The number that decides anything is the total naira you fund against the exact CNY your recipient receives, and you see it before you commit.

  • Official reference rate: useful orientation, but it excludes route, spread and fees.
  • Parallel or black-market rate: an informal cash quote, not an Unigox rate, and no guarantee a supplier payment completes.
  • Executable invoice quote: the full amount you fund for the recipient to receive the stated CNY.
02

How to compare an RMB to naira exchange rate

RMB and CNY refer to the same Chinese currency in everyday searches: renminbi is the currency name and CNY is its international code. Yuan is the unit used on the invoice.

Compare like with like. Check the direction of the quote, the timestamp, whether fees are included, how long the quote is held and the final amount the recipient receives.

  • Use CNY received ÷ total NGN sent when comparing complete payment quotes.
  • Do not compare a cash-market headline with an all-in digital payout without adjusting for fees.
  • Recheck the quote if its hold period expires; Unigox tells you if the payable amount changes.

From rate search to completed China payment

Add the recipient once, enter the CNY amount from their invoice and review the exact source amount. Fund with a Nigerian bank transfer or choose USDT or USDC already held in your native Unigox Wallet.

The recipient receives yuan through the supported Chinese destination shown in the product. Your payment status remains available in the same flow.

Built for the way Nigeria pays China

Two market facts shape the flow: China is a major sourcing corridor, and Nigerian businesses increasingly fund international payments digitally.

A high-volume trade corridorNigeria's official trade data consistently places China among the country's most important import origins.
Funding that matches real balancesThe same invoice can start from a Nigerian bank or from USDT and USDC already held in a Unigox Wallet.

Yuan-to-naira questions before you fund

01Is RMB the same as CNY?

RMB is the common abbreviation for renminbi, while CNY is the ISO currency code. A supplier may write RMB, CNY or yuan for the same invoice currency.

02Can I pay the quote with USDT or USDC instead of naira?

Yes, the China payment flow supports a native Unigox Wallet path for USDT or USDC as well as NGN bank transfer, subject to the balance and route shown at checkout.

03What happens when the quote expires?

The product checks the price again. If it has moved, you see the new amount before taking the next payment action.
