Pay a Chinese supplier: who receives, and into what account

The question is almost never how to send, but to whom and where. This corridor pays a company, into a bank account on the Chinese mainland, against an invoice denominated in CNY. You fund it with USDT or USDC from your Unigox Wallet. Everything else — a personal account, Alipay, WeChat, mobile money, cash to a representative on the ground — falls outside, and it is better known before the deposit.

The invoice stays in yuan. The funding does not.

Enter the supplier's CNY total once, then fund the same order from your balance, without asking the factory to accept cryptocurrency or to reissue its invoice.

The short answer

How do you pay a Chinese supplier from the CFA franc zone?

USDT / USDCCNY SUPPLIER

By starting from the destination rather than from your bank. You need a Chinese company, a business bank account on the Chinese mainland reachable over CNAPS, and an amount agreed in CNY. You add the beneficiary once, declare the purpose and the relationship on every payment, check the USDT or USDC amount, and the supplier is credited in yuan without ever touching a cryptocurrency.

Beneficiary verification secures the destination of the payment. It says nothing about the quality of the goods, the capacity of the factory or whether the order will ship, and it does not replace your own commercial checks.

What to gather before anything can be priced

A supplier can only be registered if they supply what the receiving bank requires. Gathering this while you are still quoting avoids a blockage at the moment of paying.

  1. 01

    A company, not a person

The bank route pays a business. A CNAPS beneficiary has to be a company account; an individual's account is refused by the server, not merely hidden in the form, and an offshore account in Hong Kong is out of reach altogether.

  2. 02

    Both names of the company

Two spellings of one company: the registered name in Latin characters, capped at 50, and the same company written in Chinese. Both are fields the receiving bank defines, and the cap is the rail's.

  3. 03

    Account, bank and mobile

A business account number of 6 to 25 characters, the receiving institution, and an 11-digit mainland Chinese mobile number in the format the rail publishes.

  4. 04

    Purpose and relationship

Declared on every payment and not stored against the supplier: goods or services, supplier or service provider. Without them no amount is calculated.

The check is redone on every payment and starts from zero as soon as one of the beneficiary's details is edited, so a correction made the day a deposit is due delays that deposit rather than the one after it.

Pay a supplier invoice

Three frequent requests, and what becomes of them here

  1. Step 01

    “Pay into my personal account”

Refused server-side. Ask for the company's account: if there isn't one, that is useful commercial information in itself, not merely a payment obstacle.

  2. Step 02

    “Pay by Alipay or WeChat”

Those rails exist in the corridor but are reserved for Chinese nationals residing outside China with a completed sender profile, and they do not accept a company as beneficiary.

  3. Step 03

    “Pay cash to my representative”

Nothing to do with this journey. Above all you lose the one traceable link between the invoice and the settlement, the one that matters on the day the order is disputed.

Alibaba, 1688 or WeChat: what the channel changes, and what it does not

How you found the supplier changes nothing about the mechanics of settlement. What it does change is the probability that they can give you company bank details. A listed factory with an export licence provides them without argument; a seller found in a WeChat group often cannot.

On Alibaba, separate two things. Paying inside the platform keeps you within its order protection scheme; paying outside takes you out of it. That is not advice in disguise: it is a trade-off that belongs to you, and it is better made knowingly than discovered afterwards.

1688 is a domestic marketplace, designed for a Chinese buyer. That is where the habit of going through a purchasing agent in Guangzhou or Yiwu comes from. Such an agent is payable here if they are a company with a Chinese bank account, the payment then being declared as services and the relationship as service provider. The same agent collecting into a personal account is not.

  • The sourcing channel changes neither the required beneficiary nor the invoice currency.
  • Paying off-platform leaves the platform's scheme: a commercial decision, to be taken beforehand.
  • Purchasing agent, sourcing office, Chinese forwarder: payable if they are a company.
02

Deposit, balance, and a ceiling worth knowing before you negotiate

The usual terms cut the payment in two, a deposit when production starts and a balance before or after shipment. Here each tranche is a payment in its own right: priced when you make it, checked when you make it, with its own purpose declaration and its own invoice reference.

That has a practical consequence, since the limits apply per payment: an order split along genuine commercial terms is measured as two amounts rather than one. Splitting a payment artificially to get under a ceiling is a different thing, and not a workaround we support.

The ceiling deserves to enter the negotiation itself. The corridor serves a band from roughly 55 CNY to about 65,000 CNY per payment, read from available liquidity and displayed when you price. Knowing it before committing to payment terms beats discovering it at the moment a shipment has to be released.

  • Deposit and balance: two independent pricings, neither carried over from the other.
  • The same invoice reference on both tranches, for you as much as for the supplier.
  • The band is displayed at the moment of pricing; it is promised nowhere in advance.
03

What verification does, and what it does not

The check bears on the destination of the payment: is the beneficiary eligible, do their details hold up, can the operation be served. It does not bear on your supplier as a commercial partner, and it says neither whether the factory can make what it promises nor whether the goods will ship.

The order of the journey is designed so that whatever must refuse you refuses early: eligibility, checks, amount band and declarations are all verified upstream, before a payment record even exists. A refusal therefore costs you nothing, whereas a credit that has arrived in a Chinese account cannot be recovered — there is no chargeback on CNAPS.

Two points of honesty to close. The business payout mode is recent and is not yet a well-worn path, so treat a first payment as a first payment. And your obligations on settlements abroad remain yours — your bank and your adviser answer for those, and this product does not stand in for them.

  • What is verified: the destination, on every payment.
  • What is not: quality, production capacity and shipment.
  • What is irreversible: a credit received in the company's account in China.

Built for the way the CFA franc zone pays China

Two things shape this flow: China is a major sourcing corridor for the CFA franc zone, and the invoice at the end of it is written in yuan and paid into a mainland company account.

A high-volume trade corridorChina is among the largest sources of imports for the CFA franc zone, which makes paying a Chinese supplier an ordinary business cost rather than an edge case.
Funding that matches real balancesThe same invoice is funded from USDT or USDC already held in a Unigox Wallet.

What buyers in the franc zone ask

01How do I pay a supplier found on Alibaba?

Ask them for their company's bank details on the Chinese mainland and the CNY total of the invoice, then register them as a beneficiary. Note that settling outside the platform leaves its order protection scheme: that is a commercial choice to make before paying.

02Can I pay with Orange Money, Wave or MTN MoMo?

No, neither to fund nor to receive. Mobile money takes part at no stage of this journey, and a company in Yiwu has no way to collect a transfer of that kind in any case.

03My supplier wants a payment to an account in Hong Kong. Is that possible?

Outside the corridor. This journey credits CNY into a business bank account on the Chinese mainland. An offshore account, whichever company holds it, is not a destination served here.

04Does my supplier need a crypto wallet?

No, and they will never see an address. They are credited in yuan into their company's bank account. The stablecoin only funds your side of the payment.

05How long does a quotation stay valid?

A limited period, displayed in the flow. If it expires before you act, the amount is recalculated and the new figure is put in front of you before any action, rather than being honoured at a price that no longer holds.

Settle the invoice, not merely move money

Open the payment flow, add the recipient and compare XOF, USDT, USDC before funding.
