Pay Chinese suppliers in CNY or USD, funded in your own currency
Published on 2nd of October 2026 by Unigox Team
Unigox now pays supplier invoices in China. You fund the payment in your local currency or in USDT or USDC, and your supplier receives a bank transfer in Chinese yuan (CNY) or US dollars (USD). Yuan payments reach bank accounts in mainland China. Dollar payments reach business bank accounts in mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Your supplier receives ordinary bank money. They do not need a crypto wallet, an exchange account or any agreement to accept stablecoins.

What is a supplier payment on Unigox?
A supplier payment on Unigox is a bank transfer to your supplier that you fund in a different currency from the one on the invoice. You enter the amount the supplier is owed in CNY or USD. Unigox shows you the exchange rate, the fee and the total before you confirm.
It covers every payment an order usually needs: the deposit before production, the balance before shipment, and repeat orders as stock sells. On a USD 10,000 order with a 30% deposit, you pay USD 3,000 now and USD 7,000 later, as two payments to the same saved supplier.
Which currencies can you pay with?
You can fund a supplier payment on Unigox in two ways:
- Local currency. As of 2 October 2026, Unigox accepts 14 local currencies for payments to China: the Nigerian naira, Kenyan shilling, Ugandan shilling, Rwandan franc, West African CFA franc, South African rand, Egyptian pound, Indian rupee, Bangladeshi taka, Sri Lankan rupee, Kazakhstani tenge, Mexican peso, euro and British pound. The options you see depend on your country and account.
- Stablecoins. Pay from a USDT or USDC balance in your Unigox Wallet.
If you sell in naira or rand and your supplier invoices in yuan, revenue from local sales can pay for the next order. You do not need to hold a yuan or dollar balance first.
If your business holds stablecoins, the same payment turns USDT or USDC into a bank transfer to your supplier. There is no separate withdrawal to your own bank account before you pay the invoice.
Where can your supplier be paid?
Unigox pays suppliers in four combinations of country and currency:
| Supplier's bank account is in | Currency | Paid to |
|---|---|---|
| Mainland China | CNY | A bank account, through CNAPS, China's domestic bank transfer system |
| Mainland China | USD | A business bank account |
| Hong Kong | USD | A business bank account |
| Singapore | USD | A business bank account |
Choose the country where the supplier's bank account is held. A mainland manufacturer that invoices through a Hong Kong trading company is paid as a Hong Kong account, even though the goods ship from China.
Before you pay, compare the beneficiary name in the bank details with the company on the invoice. If they differ, ask your supplier to explain the relationship in writing.
How do you pay a supplier's invoice?
Paying a supplier on Unigox takes five steps:
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Sign in at unigox.com and verify your identity. Verification is required before your first payment. |
| 2 | Add your supplier and their bank details. Unigox saves them for the next order. |
| 3 | Enter the invoice amount in CNY or USD. |
| 4 | Choose how to fund it: local currency, USDT or USDC. |
| 5 | Review the exchange rate, the fee and the total, then pay. |
For payment platforms: supplier payouts through the Partner API
The Unigox Partner API lets a PSP or payment platform pay Chinese suppliers on behalf of its own customers. Each customer is registered as a verified sender. Each supplier is registered as a recipient with a validated bank account. Every payout gets a quote before you initiate it.
Payouts through the API draw on a stablecoin balance that your platform funds in advance. How your customers pay you is your decision.

Frequently asked questions
Does my supplier need a crypto wallet?
No. Your supplier receives CNY or USD in their bank account. Stablecoins are only one of the ways you can fund the payment.
Can I pay a Hong Kong or Singapore account for goods made in China?
Yes, in USD. Choose the country of the supplier's bank account when you add their details.
My supplier quotes in CNY but wants to be paid in USD. What amount do I enter?
Ask the supplier to confirm the USD amount in writing or to issue a USD invoice, then enter that amount.
What is the minimum payment?
USD payments start at $25. The minimum and maximum for each payment change with available liquidity, and you see yours before you pay.
What does a payment cost?
You see the exchange rate, the fee and the total before you confirm. Your supplier's bank may deduct its own charges from the amount it credits.
