A SatoshiTango alternative: get a merchant's rate, not its price less 1%
SatoshiTango sells your USDT at its own price less a 1% commission. As a SatoshiTango alternative, Unigox gets you a P2P merchant's rate with the Unigox fee already inside. For daily yields, Pix in Brazil or other coins, stay.
When to stay with SatoshiTango
Your USDT earns a daily yield there
SatoshiTango pays yields on USDT, USDC, ETH and SOL, credited every day in the coin you put in. Unigox pays no yield: it trades stablecoins against local currencies.
You pay shops in Brazil by Pix
In the SatoshiTango app you scan a Pix QR code or enter a Pix key, type the amount in reais and pick the balance it comes from, pesos or crypto. The shop receives reais.
Your pesos live in the app
Each SatoshiTango user gets a payment account with a CVU, run by Insight Business S.A., a payment service provider registered with the BCRA. Pesos come in and go out by instant transfer from that CVU.
Selling USDT for pesos on SatoshiTango and Unigox
Each row follows one sale of USDT for Argentine pesos; yields, Pix payments and the other coins in the app are left out.
| Topic | SatoshiTango | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A crypto broker operated in Argentina by Fintech SA, with separate terms for Chile and Peru. It buys and sells more than 18 coins, USDT, USDC and DAI among them. | A marketplace for stablecoins against local money, where a P2P merchant or a payment business takes each sale. |
| Who prices the sale | SatoshiTango publishes its own buy and sell prices, which can move with the volume traded on the site. The price is frozen the moment you confirm. | A P2P merchant buying your USDT quotes a rate for your amount, with the Unigox fee in it, and you see it before you accept. |
| Fees | 1% of every crypto purchase or sale. | No separate commission line: the Unigox fee is already in the rate you accept. |
| Pesos to your bank | The sale credits your SatoshiTango balance. A separate withdrawal moves the pesos to a bank account in your own name or a virtual wallet. Receiving-bank fees and taxes are yours. | The buyer pays the bank account you give on the trade, and you confirm when the pesos arrive. During a trade the crypto sits in an on-chain escrow that Unigox can release only to the buyer or the seller. |
| USDT in and out | Its crypto-dollar page promises withdrawal "through multiple networks" without naming them. Any network fee is set by SatoshiTango and shown before you authorise. | You can move USDT or USDC between Unigox and an outside wallet before or after a trade. USDT can arrive on EVM networks such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain and Optimism, or on Solana, TON and Tron. |
| Regulation | Fintech SA is entered under number 4 in the CNV register of virtual asset service providers in Argentina. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |
Switch a USDT sale from SatoshiTango to Unigox
Verify with Unigox first
Create a Unigox account and finish its identity check, which comes before the first trade at any amount. Your SatoshiTango verification does not carry over.
Send the USDT out of SatoshiTango
Go to Accounts > Withdraw, pick USDT and a network the Unigox deposit screen also shows, and paste your Unigox address. SatoshiTango shows its network fee before you authorise.
Sell to a merchant at the quoted rate
Pick a currency Unigox has open for selling, enter the USDT amount, give the account the buyer pays into and accept the rate. The money goes straight to that account, with no app balance to withdraw. On a P2P sale, confirm it landed and the escrow releases the USDT to the buyer.
