Paysend alternative for money paid to you in USDT

Paysend sends money from your card to a card or account abroad. If you are paid in USDT or USDC, Unigox is a Paysend alternative: you sell it for local money. To send from your own card, stay with Paysend.

When Unigox fits better than Paysend

  • A client pays you in USDT or USDC

Paysend starts every transfer from a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a local payment method in the sender's country. It lists no way to pay with stablecoins. On Unigox you deposit the USDT or USDC, sell it, and the local money is paid to your account.

  • The money you would send home is already USDT

With Paysend you would first sell the USDT somewhere else and pay the transfer from a card. Instead, send the USDT to the person at home: once they pass the Unigox identity check, they sell it for their own currency.

When to stay with Paysend

  • You send from your card to family abroad

You pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, see the fee and rate before you confirm, and Paysend delivers to a card, bank account or wallet abroad. No crypto is involved at any step.

  • The person receiving should not need to sign up

Paysend pays to the recipient's Visa or Mastercard card without them opening a Paysend account. On Unigox, the person who sells the USDT verifies their identity first.

  • Someone abroad wants to send you money from their card

Paysend Request lets you ask another Paysend account holder for an amount in your currency. They approve it in their app, accept the rate and fee, and the money goes to your card or account. Paysend's terms keep this to personal transfers, not payments for work.

  • You are sending from the United States

Unigox does not currently offer its services in the United States, where Paysend sends through its own money transmitter company and, in some states, through Cross River Bank.

Paysend vs Unigox

A Paysend transfer starts with money on a card; a Unigox sale starts with USDT or USDC. Both end with local money in someone's account, and that is the job compared here.

From a Paysend transfer to a USDT sale

  1. Open an account and verify

Whoever will sell the USDT signs up on Unigox and takes a photo of their ID and a short selfie.

  2. Have the USDT sent in

Your client, or the relative holding the USDT, sends it to your Unigox Wallet on the network the deposit screen names. A different token or network can lose the funds.

  3. Sell for local money

Choose the currency, enter the account details to be paid and accept the rate. If a P2P merchant pays you, confirm the payment in Unigox so the trade can close.

Paysend or Unigox: common questions

Are there apps like Paysend for people paid in USDT?

Not among the card-funded transfer apps: Paysend lists no way to pay in with stablecoins. Unigox works from the stablecoin end: you deposit USDT or USDC, sell it, and a P2P merchant or a payment business pays the local money to your account.

What are Paysend's fees?

Paysend shows the fee and the exchange rate before you confirm; the fee depends on where you send from and to and how you pay. For 100 USD from the United States to a card in Ukraine, its calculator shows a fee of 1.99 USD. On Unigox there is no separate fee line: the fee is inside the rate for your sale, so compare what each leaves in the account.

Is there a Paysend alternative for people in Ukraine?

For hryvnias sent from a card abroad, Paysend pays to Visa and Mastercard cards in Ukraine, usually the same day. If a client pays you in USDT or USDC, check whether Unigox lists the hryvnia on the day you sell. Ukraine is a supported jurisdiction. However, Unigox does not offer Services to persons located in or ordinarily resident in the following Ukrainian territories affected by international sanctions or military occupation: Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, and the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts of Ukraine in their entirety, including any areas under Ukrainian government control. Who competes with Paysend for stablecoin income?

It depends on what the money starts as. If it is on a card or in a bank account, Paysend's competitors are other transfer apps; our Wise comparison covers when Wise is the better choice and when Unigox is. If it is USDT or USDC, Paysend lists no way to pay with it, and on Unigox you sell it for local money paid to your account.

Where is my USDT while the sale is open?

During a trade the crypto sits in an on-chain escrow that Unigox can release only to the buyer or the seller. A Paysend transfer has no such step: you pay Paysend first, and Paysend delivers.

Check what your USDT pays out

Each currency page shows a reference rate for USDT. The sale screen then shows the rate for your exact amount, with the fee inside, before you confirm.
