Payoneer alternative for freelancers paid in stablecoins

If your clients pay you in stablecoins and you want local money in your account, Unigox is a Payoneer alternative. If Amazon, Fiverr or a client's bank transfer pays you, stay with Payoneer.

When Unigox fits better than Payoneer

  • Your clients already pay you in stablecoins

Payoneer's receiving accounts take bank transfers, and a client's card payment costs up to 3.99% + 0.49 USD. A client who pays in USDT or USDC can send it straight to your Unigox deposit address, and you sell it there for local money.

  • Payoneer's stablecoin wallet is not open to you

Payoneer opens its stablecoin wallet in waves, to eligible business customers by account type, location and regulation. On Unigox you can sell USDT for any currency it serves, and USDC wherever Unigox lists a USDC rate for it, once you pass the identity check.

When to stay with Payoneer

  • Marketplaces or bank transfers pay you

Payoneer takes payouts from Amazon, Fiverr, Airbnb and Upwork, and gives you receiving accounts in USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and more for client bank transfers.

  • You cash out in hryvnia

Payoneer pays hryvnia out to banks such as PrivatBank, monobank, A-Bank and FUIB, and shows its fee before you confirm. If that leaves you more than a Unigox sale on the day, stay with Payoneer.

  • You bank with HBL in Pakistan

Payoneer works inside the HBL app and says withdrawals to an HBL account arrive within seconds.

  • You are based in the United States

Unigox does not currently offer its services in the United States, where Payoneer holds state licences.

Cash out USDT without Payoneer

  1. Set up and verify

Set up Unigox before a client pays you in stablecoins: open an account and take a photo of your ID and a short selfie, required before any sale.

  2. Send stablecoins to Unigox

Give a client who pays in stablecoins your Unigox USDT or USDC deposit address and its network. If Payoneer's stablecoin wallet is open on your account, you can send USDT or USDC from it to the same address. Check that the network matches on both screens, because a transfer on the wrong network can be lost.

  3. Sell for local money

Choose the currency, enter the account that should receive it and accept the rate for your amount. When a P2P merchant pays you, confirm in Unigox that the money arrived; that closes the trade. Marketplace payouts keep landing in Payoneer.

Freelancers ask about Payoneer

Are there apps or services like Payoneer for USDT income?

Yes. If clients pay you in USDT or USDC, Unigox swaps it for local money. Payoneer's own stablecoin wallet may also be open to your account.

Is there a Payoneer alternative in Pakistan?

For money already in Payoneer, stay with it if you bank with HBL: Payoneer says those withdrawals arrive within seconds in the HBL app. For income a client pays in USDT or USDC, Unigox is the alternative when the quote screen lists your currency on the day, with the rate for your amount.

Which Payoneer competitors suit freelancers?

That depends on how clients pay you: by bank transfer, by card, through a marketplace or in stablecoins. We have also compared Unigox with Wise, PayPal and Grey, apps freelancers use to get paid from abroad, and each comparison says when to stay with that app.

What are Payoneer's fees, and how does Unigox compare?

Payoneer charges 1.50 USD per withdrawal to a bank in your own country and currency where it lists that fee, 1.2% to 4% otherwise, and 29.95 USD a year if the account receives under 6,000 USD in any 12 consecutive months. Payoneer shows its fee before you confirm; Unigox puts its fee inside the rate it shows before you confirm. Compare what each leaves you on the day.

What happens to my USDT while I wait for the local money?

During a trade the crypto sits in an on-chain escrow that Unigox can release only to the buyer or the seller. If something goes wrong, open a dispute in live chat or by email.
