Coinhouse alternative for selling USDC you hold elsewhere
Coinhouse takes USDC on Ethereum only. Coins from elsewhere need account level 2 to sell, and proof of origin for large sales. Unigox is the Coinhouse alternative for USDC on Solana or Polygon. Bitcoin investors should stay with Coinhouse.
When to stay with Coinhouse
You invest in coins for the long run
Coinhouse is a broker built around buying and holding: recurring purchases, staking in the app, and an Investor plan that removes transaction fees on up to 3,000 EUR a month. Unigox trades stablecoins only.
Your USDC was bought on Coinhouse
Coins bought on Coinhouse sell without a limit, and the euros reach its Euro Account, usually at once. For USDC that never left Coinhouse, there is nothing to move.
You want someone else to manage the portfolio
Coinhouse's investment team runs managed portfolios for clients who delegate. The AMF authorised Coinhouse SAS under MiCA for advice and portfolio management, among other services. Its support team answers the phone on weekdays.
Coinhouse and Unigox for a USDC sale
On 1,000 EUR of USDC, Coinhouse's Classic fee comes to 13.02 EUR: 1.29% plus 0.12 EUR. The Unigox fee sits inside its quoted rate, so compare the euros each one pays for the same USDC on the same day. Coinhouse's FAQ gives 1.09%; its price list, used here, sets 1.29%.
| Topic | Coinhouse | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A French broker, not an exchange: you buy from and sell to Coinhouse, with recurring buys, staking and managed portfolios on top. | A stablecoin marketplace: you sell USDC to a buyer on Unigox, and the buyer pays your bank. |
| USDC in and out | Sent and received on the Ethereum network only. | Deposited on Solana, Base, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism or Ethereum; you pick the network when you deposit. |
| Selling coins sent in | Needs account level 2, with a 10,000 EUR selling limit. To sell more, Coinhouse asks for proof of origin, such as a purchase invoice or transaction history. | An identity check before your first sale, however small the amount. |
| Fee on the sale | Classic plan: 1.29% plus a fixed 0.12 EUR per transaction.
| No separate line: the fee is in the quoted rate, shown before you accept the sale. |
| Where the money goes | To the Coinhouse Euro Account, usually at once, or to a bank account in your own name in 2 to 3 business days. | The buyer pays the bank account you enter for the trade. Your USDC is held in escrow until you confirm the money arrived. |
| Regulation | Coinhouse SAS is authorised by the AMF as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA, number A2026-013. The Euro Account comes from Coinhouse Payment Solutions, a payment services agent of the e-money institution Treezor. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |
Cash out USDC from other chains on Unigox
Complete the identity check
Register on Unigox and pass the identity check before your first trade. Your Coinhouse account level does not carry over.
Send USDC from Polygon, BNB Smart Chain or Solana
On the Unigox deposit screen choose USDC and the network it sits on, then send it to the address shown. You do not move it to Ethereum first, as Coinhouse would need.
Accept the rate and confirm the payment
Choose the currency, give the bank details the buyer should pay to and accept the quoted rate. When the money shows in your account, confirm it and the USDC leaves escrow.
Coinhouse alternative: questions answered
What can I do with USDC that Coinhouse cannot receive?
Coinhouse receives USDC on Ethereum only, so coins on Solana, Polygon or BNB Smart Chain would first have to be moved there. Unigox takes USDC on those networks, and a buyer on Unigox pays your bank account.
What are Coinhouse's fees for selling crypto?
Coinhouse's price list sets a 1.29% sale fee on the Classic plan, plus 0.12 EUR per transaction. Buying costs 0.99% from the Euro Account or by SEPA transfer and 1.99% by card. The Investor plan, 9.90 EUR a month on a yearly commitment, removes transaction fees on up to 3,000 EUR a month. Unigox shows no separate fee: it is inside the rate you accept.
Is Coinhouse regulated in France?
Yes. The AMF has authorised Coinhouse SAS under MiCA, number A2026-013. The authorisation covers custody, exchange, transfers, advice and portfolio management, with passporting rights in other EU countries. Its Euro Account is run by Coinhouse Payment Solutions as an agent of the e-money institution Treezor.
Can I sell USDC on Coinhouse sent from another wallet?
Yes, if it arrives on Ethereum and your account is at level 2, which allows sales of up to 10,000 EUR of deposited coins. To sell more, Coinhouse asks where the funds came from, for example a purchase invoice or a transaction history. Coins bought on Coinhouse itself sell without that limit.
Get a rate for your USDC
A Coinhouse sale costs 1.29% plus 0.12 EUR, once the USDC is on Ethereum. On Unigox the fee sits in the rate you see before you accept. Moving USDC between chains costs network fees on either route.
