Stables Money alternative for paying users from your wallet
Stables Money pays out from single-use deposit addresses or a balance held with Stables. With Unigox, a Stables Money alternative, your USDT stays in your partner wallet until each order goes into escrow. Keep Stables for SWIFT supplier payments.
When to stay with Stables Money
You pay suppliers and business beneficiaries by SWIFT
Stables sends SWIFT payouts for its business customers and sells same-day supplier invoice payments on local rails. The Unigox Payments API pays local bank or mobile money accounts for customers who pass a Unigox identity check: their own account, or on supported routes a recipient they register.
You collect AUD or AED into standing account details
Stables Payment Routes give a customer reusable account details, with AUD and AED live in its docs. Deposits of 100 or more are converted and sent to your nominated wallet as stablecoins. Unigox collects order by order, and opens standing accounts in customers' names only in EUR and GBP, on request after KYB.
You want an AI agent to run payouts
Stables hosts an MCP server through which Claude, Cursor, Codex or VS Code can onboard customers, price and execute USDT payouts with your API key. On Unigox your developers call the REST API directly, with a Postman collection and signing examples in Python, JavaScript and C#.
Stables Money vs Unigox: paying a user from USDT
| Topic | Stables Money | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| Paid to | Bank accounts over local rails, and mobile money where Stables lists it, such as M-Pesa in Kenya and MTN MoMo in Ghana and Uganda. SWIFT for business customers. Payout currencies span Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Europe and the US. | The customer's own bank or mobile money account, or on supported routes a recipient the customer registers. |
| Who makes the local payment | Stables fulfils each order together with one or more payment service providers, and buys and sells the stablecoins itself. | Either a payment business connected to Unigox or an individual P2P merchant pays out, and a quote can be limited to payment businesses only. |
| Where the USDT comes from | Each transfer gets its own single-use deposit address. Or the payout draws on a USDT or USDC balance held with Stables, topped up only from wallets Stables has approved. | Your partner wallet. Your server signs each order's USDT or USDC into on-chain escrow, and a funded payout that stops is refunded to the same wallet. |
| Pricing | A one-time integration fee, a monthly API minimum and usage fees: a conversion margin set in your agreement, plus processing costs passed on at cost. Sales quotes the amounts; each quote itemises the fees and holds for 30 seconds. | The Unigox fee depends on the currency and payment method. Each quote shows the rate, that fee, your own fee and the total, and an order that does not complete is not charged. |
| Collecting local money | Reusable account details. Its docs list AUD and AED as live and GBP, EUR and USD as upcoming, while its product page claims a longer list. Deposits are converted into stablecoins and sent to your nominated wallet. | Per order: the customer pays by bank transfer or mobile money, and USDT or USDC is released to your partner wallet once the payment is confirmed. |
| Testing and going live | Onboarding starts with a call to the Stables team. The sandbox simulates transfers, KYC and FX quotes with no testnet support; requests carry the key in an X-Api-Key or Bearer header. | A call to agree markets and setup, then KYB. After approval, the sandbox and production share the same endpoints, with the key in an X-API-Key header. |
| Regulation | Stables says it issues its products through existing entities that hold licences, and your commercial terms name the Stables Group member you contract with. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |

List the currencies Stables pays today
On the call, list the currencies your users are paid in through Stables today and agree the setup. Then send company registration, ownership and source-of-funds documents. Unigox runs its own KYB, and API credentials follow approval.
Swap the quote-and-transfer call for an order
Where your code locked a Stables quote and created a transfer against it, request a Unigox quote and create the order. Once a payment business or P2P merchant takes it, your server signs its USDT into escrow. Stables ran KYC on your users itself. Here each user passes a Unigox identity check, and one already checked with Sumsub or Persona can reuse an eligible check.
Fund the partner wallet and test a refund
In the sandbox, run one payout that completes and one that is refunded. Then switch to the production key and top up your partner wallet with USDT or USDC in place of a Stables balance.
Stables Money alternatives: questions
What is Stables Money, and when is Unigox the alternative?
Stables Money is a USDT payments API from the Stables Group, which also offers a consumer stablecoin app; the comparison is with the API. It turns fiat deposits into stablecoins, pays out from USDT over local rails, mobile money or SWIFT, and runs KYC and KYB on your customers. Unigox is the alternative when a crypto app or exchange pays its own users from USDT kept in its own partner wallet. For SWIFT supplier payments or AUD and AED virtual accounts, Stables remains the closer fit.

Other stablecoin payout APIs such as BVNK and Bridge, which we also compare with Unigox. Unigox is one too: its Payments API pays users through payment businesses connected to Unigox and individual P2P merchants.

On Stables you send USDT to a single-use deposit address for that transfer, or pay from a balance held with Stables, against a quote that holds for 30 seconds. On Unigox the USDT stays in your partner wallet until your server signs the order into escrow, and a payout that stops comes back to that wallet.
What does Stables Money charge for its API?
Stables publishes the structure, not the amounts: a one-time integration fee, a monthly API minimum, and usage fees on FX, virtual accounts and KYC checks. On Unigox each quote shows the fee for that order beside the rate before you create it.
