Alfred Pay alternative for payouts beyond Latin America
Alfred Pay runs Latin American routes such as SPEI, Pix and Bre-B, with a balance per customer. Outside those routes, an Alfred Pay alternative pays your own users from USDT or USDC in one partner wallet.
When to stay with Alfred Pay
Your users are in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia or Argentina
Alfred Pay's coverage page lists its own companies and a local office in each of the four. It pays by SPEI in Mexico within the hour, Pix in Brazil at once, ACH Colombia, Bre-B, Nequi or DaviPlata in Colombia, and CBU or CVU transfers in Argentina.
You collect pesos or reais into local accounts
Alfred issues virtual local accounts, such as Mexican bank accounts for US companies, and credits each deposit to the customer it belongs to. A Unigox Payments API collection works the other way: the user pays by bank or mobile money and USDT or USDC reaches your partner wallet.
Your customers keep balances in MXNa or USD
Alfred keeps balances on the customers you onboard, in USDC or USDT, an opt-in Corporate USD Account, or a local stablecoin: MXNa, ARSa, COPa or BRZ. An MXNa balance pays out to MXN over SPEI with no currency conversion. Unigox keeps no balance per user.
Paying a user outside Alfred Pay's routes
| Topic | Alfred Pay | Unigox |
|---|---|---|
| Where payouts land | Mexico (SPEI), Brazil (Pix), Colombia (ACH Colombia, Bre-B, Nequi, DaviPlata), Argentina (CBU and CVU transfers) and USD in the US and El Salvador. Its API docs name other rails too, such as clearing houses in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic, and Hong Kong's FPS and CHATS. Only routes marked live take real payments. | Local currency to a bank or mobile money account the user holds, paid by a P2P merchant or a payment business connected to Unigox. The markets for your integration are agreed on the setup call. |
| Where the money waits | On each customer you onboard, as a balance Alfred holds in USDC, USDT, a Corporate USD Account or a local stablecoin. A payout debits that customer's available balance. | In your company's partner wallet, topped up with USDT or USDC in advance. Your server signs each order's transfer into on-chain escrow. A funded payout that stops waits there until your server signs its refund back to the wallet. |
| Before the first payout | The customer passes KYC or KYB and holds the endorsement the payout needs. Each destination is screened until Alfred marks it verified, and a name match tells the customer's own account from a third party's. Third-party payouts are allowed; a stablecoin one needs its own endorsement. A verification can expire and stop later payouts. | The user passes a Unigox identity check: an ID document and a selfie, a reused Sumsub or Persona check, or a Unigox verification link. Payouts go to the user's own account or, on supported routes confirmed before integration, to a supplier or other third party. |
| Pricing | No public rate card: rates and fees are agreed with each partner. Each quote lists every fee on its own line, network and conversion fees included, and expires after about two minutes. | Set per currency and payment method, and shown on each quote as the Unigox fee, your own fee and the total. Your fee reaches the partner wallet when the order completes. |
| Getting started | You generate your own keys in its dashboard and build against a sandbox that matches production; the production host opens once Alfred enables your account. Alfred puts sign-up to first payment at under 14 days. | A call to agree markets, then company verification. Credentials follow approval; the sandbox has the same endpoints as production, with a Postman collection and signing examples in Python, JavaScript and C#. |
| Regulation | Its coverage page lists its companies by country: a money transmitter (Fast Cash Mexico) and a company with a virtual asset registration in Mexico, a payment institution and a virtual asset service company in Brazil, a virtual asset service company in Colombia, virtual asset and payment service companies in Argentina, a payment and digital asset service company in El Salvador, and a money services business in the US. | Unigox works through two companies: UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Canada handles the local-money side and is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business and with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider; UNIGOX NETWORK CORP. in Panama handles the crypto side, including wallets and escrow. |
Add Unigox for the payouts Alfred Pay does not route
Book a call with your country list
Bring the countries where your users live outside Alfred Pay's routes, and whether they are paid by bank or mobile money. We agree the setup on that call, and your company then passes Unigox KYB.
Rebuild the payout call in the sandbox
Where Alfred registers a destination, quotes and debits a customer balance, Unigox takes a quote and an order your server signs from the partner wallet into escrow. The sandbox runs the endpoints production uses.
Verify users, fund the wallet, go live
Users in those countries pass the Unigox identity check, and an eligible Sumsub or Persona check can be reused. Put USDT or USDC in the partner wallet before the first live order.
Questions about Alfred Pay alternatives
Which Alfred Pay alternative pays users outside LatAm?
Unigox, for an app that pays its own verified users from USDT or USDC and has users where Alfred Pay lists no route. In the countries the Payments API serves, those users get local currency in their own bank or mobile money account. Keep Alfred for SPEI, Pix and Bre-B payouts.
What does Alfred Pay do?
Alfred Pay, styled alfred, is a stablecoin payments API for Latin America. It onboards your customers, holds their balances in stablecoins, USD or local stablecoins such as MXNa, issues virtual local accounts and pays out over SPEI, Pix, ACH Colombia and Argentine bank transfers.
Does Alfredpay publish its fees?
No. Its docs say rates and fees are commercial terms agreed with each partner, and every quote itemises its fees and holds for about two minutes. A Unigox Payments API quote shows the Unigox fee, your own fee and the total, and an order that does not complete is not charged.
Do Alfred Pay customer approvals carry over to Unigox?
No. Alfred's KYC, KYB and endorsements stay with Alfred. On Unigox your company passes KYB and each user passes the Unigox identity check, which can reuse an eligible Sumsub or Persona check. You can keep Alfred for Latin America and send other countries to Unigox.
Map your payouts beyond Alfred Pay's routes
Send the countries where Alfred Pay has no route for your users, and whether they get paid by bank or mobile money. For each one we confirm whether the Payments API pays out there. You fund those payouts from one USDT or USDC partner wallet, not a balance per user.
