Alipay in the USA: what it does, and what pays your supplier

Alipay is a consumer wallet. Your supplier's invoice is owed to a company. Two different problems.

US searches for Alipay split into two groups: people who found ALIPAY US INC on a card statement, and importers whose supplier said to just send it to their Alipay. Neither is solved by an Alipay payout. Here is what the wallet does for a US payer, why Unigox will not offer you one, and the route that is open instead.

  • No Alipay payout promised
  • Business bank route instead
  • Funded from USDT or USDC

Skip the wallet. Pay the company that issued the invoice.

Ask the supplier for their company's Chinese bank account, then fund the payment with USDT or USDC from your Unigox Wallet. The supplier never needs a crypto address or an exchange account.

The short answer

Can I pay a Chinese supplier through Alipay from the US?

USDT / USDCBANK CNY

Not through Unigox, and the reason is structural rather than temporary. The corridor does carry Alipay and WeChat Pay rails, but they are consumer wallet rails: they pay a person and never a company, and the only declarations they accept are a transfer to yourself or support for a family member. A supplier invoice is neither of those things.

Those rails are gated on the sender too. They need a completed fourteen-field remitter profile whose verified nationality is Chinese, and the scheme refuses a wallet payout whose sender country is China — so the eligible payer is a verified Chinese national living outside China. The decision is made server-side from verified identity; it is not an option you can pick in a form.

Open payment flow

Three reasons an Alipay payout does not fit a US supplier payment

  1. Step 01

    Who is eligible

Wallet rails resolve from your verified identity: a complete fourteen-field remitter profile, Chinese nationality on the verified document, residence outside China. Most US payers fail this before a recipient is even considered.

  2. Step 02

    Who can be paid

Alipay and WeChat destinations accept a personal wallet only. A company recipient is refused on those rails outright, whoever is sending the payment.

  3. Step 03

    What the payment may say

Those rails accept two purposes: a transfer to yourself, or family support. Payment for goods and payment for services exist only on the bank rail — the one that pays suppliers.

01

What ALIPAY US INC on your statement usually is

The highest-volume Alipay searches in the United States are not from importers. They come from cardholders reading a line on a statement — ALIPAY US INC, sometimes alongside PayPal, often for an amount they do not recognise. Alipay's US entity processes card payments for merchants and apps that use it, so the descriptor names the processor rather than the shop you bought from.

If a charge is unfamiliar, the merchant and your card issuer are the two parties who can identify or reverse it. Unigox is unrelated to those charges and cannot look one up. This page says so because that is the search which brings most people here, and answering it is better than selling them something else.

02

What Alipay is for, and where it stops

Alipay is a consumer wallet: card-linked spending, in-app purchases, transfers between people, and a tourist mode with its own eligibility and limits — all set by Alipay, under Alipay's verification rules. Nobody should be selling a workaround for those, and we do not.

Where it stops is business receipts. A Chinese company that issues you an invoice books the payment against a company account; money landing in an owner's or employee's personal wallet is a different event in their records. That is one reason this corridor's bank route accepts a business account and nothing else.

So when a supplier asks for a personal wallet transfer against a company invoice, the mismatch is between who you owe and who you would be paying. Ask for the company's bank details, or ask why the two differ and keep the answer with your records.

03

The route that is open to a US payer

One rail is available to you today: the supplier's business bank account in mainland China, reached over CNAPS, funded from USDT or USDC held in your Unigox Wallet. There is no dollar pay-in for this journey in the US, and the payout is a trade you open — Unigox holds no float against your invoice.

Getting there needs four things from the supplier: the registered company name in Latin letters and in Chinese characters, the business account number, the receiving bank, and a mainland mobile number. The rail's own field rules apply — 6 to 25 characters on the account, up to 50 on the Latin company name — and the flow checks them when the recipient is saved rather than at payout, when a correction is expensive.

After that, the ordinary checks: the recipient is screened before each payment and re-screened whenever their details change, and every payment declares its purpose and relationship as goods or services from a supplier or service provider.

  • Alipay and WeChat Pay are separate rails, not two channels of one route — they never touch CNAPS and price differently.
  • A supported bank payment needs no wallet, no app and no account on the supplier's side beyond the one they already bank with.
  • Recipient checks support the payment route. They are not due diligence on the goods, the contract or the shipment.

Built for the way the United States pays China

Two things shape this flow: China is a major sourcing corridor for the United States, and the invoice at the end of it is written in yuan and paid into a mainland company account.

A high-volume trade corridorChina is among the largest sources of imports for the United States, which makes paying a Chinese supplier an ordinary business cost rather than an edge case.

Alipay questions from the United States

01What is the ALIPAY US INC charge on my card?

It is a card payment processed through Alipay's US entity for a merchant or app that uses it, which is why the descriptor does not name the seller. Your card issuer and the merchant are the ones who can identify or dispute it. It has nothing to do with Unigox.

02Can Unigox send money to an Alipay wallet in China?

Only for a narrow, verified group: payers whose completed remitter profile shows Chinese nationality and residence outside China. Even then the rail pays a personal wallet for a transfer to yourself or family support, so it would be the wrong instrument for a supplier invoice.

03My supplier says they only accept Alipay. What now?

Ask for the company's bank account, which is what a company invoice is normally settled against. Do not route the payment through an unrelated personal wallet or an agent account to force it through.

04Is WeChat Pay any different?

Same gate, and a separate rail. They are modelled as two routes rather than one because they are two: they price differently, and one has been unavailable while the other kept paying.

05Can you help me verify an Alipay account?

No. Follow Alipay's own registration and verification steps. Unigox does not provide identity workarounds and does not work with services that claim to.
