NoOnes alternative 2026: where traders in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and India are moving now

On 23 July 2026 the EU adopted its 21st sanctions package and put NoOnes' operating entity on its crypto transaction-ban list, alongside HTX, BitPapa, EXMO and 10 other platforms. The ban takes effect 23 August 2026.

You can read the legal analysis elsewhere (we link the sources at the bottom). If you trade on NoOnes in Lagos, Nairobi, Accra or Mumbai, the practical question is simpler: what happens to your money, your rates, and your cash-outs over the next few months, and where should you trade instead?

Short answer: nothing forces you off NoOnes today if you are outside the EU. But you have seen this movie before, and it does not end with "everything stayed fine."

If you only want the destination: the best NoOnes alternative for most traders in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and India is Unigox, a non-custodial marketplace with KYC-verified counterparties, on-chain escrow, and fees up to 0.5% included in the quote. The rest of this post is the why and the how.

You watched this happen to Paxful already

Most NoOnes users came from Paxful, the P2P marketplace that counted over 12 million registered users at its peak.

And NoOnes was wobbling before Brussels moved. Its founder left the CEO seat in February 2026 amid US federal charges over anti-money-laundering failures at Paxful. Before that, the platform admitted an $8 million hot-wallet exploit only after investigator ZachXBT published the evidence. Leadership, custody, and now compliance: three cracks in one year.

You do not need to panic. You need a second platform set up before you need it.

What you actually get by switching to Unigox

Unigox is a non-custodial fiat-to-crypto marketplace where 238 licensed and verified exchange partners compete for your order and the best rate finds you. It was built by people who lived through the Paxful era and designed away its failure modes. It is not another chat-P2P app with a new logo. The differences are structural:

Your coins are not sitting in a platform hot wallet. Unigox is non-custodial. You hold the keys; there is no pooled wallet for a hacker to drain. Every trade is secured by an audited on-chain escrow smart contract powered by Gnosis Safe with three signers: the buyer, the seller, and Unigox. Mid-trade, you can point to your escrow on a block explorer. Compare that to an exchange that took weeks to admit $8 million had walked out the door.

The best rate finds you. No scrolling offer lists, no haggling in chat, no screenshot roulette. You enter an amount, 238 licensed and verified exchange partners compete for it, and you get one all-in quote. Fees are up to 0.5% per trade and they are inside the price you see.

Every counterparty is verified. All exchange partners on Unigox pass KYC. That is what keeps tainted money out of your bank account. It is why the "frozen account" stories that follow big-exchange P2P books around Nigeria and India are not the Unigox story.

A regulated company you can name. The operating company is a Canadian MSB registered with FINTRAC and a registered PSP with the Bank of Canada. Strategic partners include Circle, Coinbase, and Polygon. On the app stores it holds 4.7 on Google Play.

Your chains, your speed. USDT and USDC across 12 networks including Tron, Ethereum, Solana, Base and BSC. Fastest recorded exchange: 6 seconds.

Verification is self-serve and takes minutes. Do it today, trade whenever you want.

By country: your rails on Unigox

Nigeria: USDT to naira by bank transfer

NGN is Unigox's deepest corridor. Buy and sell USDT against naira by direct bank transfer, with rates aggregated across competing exchange partners rather than one merchant's chat price. If you came to NoOnes from Paxful for gift cards, this is the moment to graduate to bank rails: cleaner pricing, cleaner paper trail, no gift-card discount haircut.

We also wrote up how Unigox finds Nigeria's best crypto rates through liquidity aggregation.

Kenya: M-Pesa in, USDT out

Unigox supports buying and selling USDT with Kenyan shillings through M-Pesa. No waiting for a merchant to wake up and read the chat: matching is automatic and escrow is on-chain while your payment clears.

Buy USDT with KES · Sell USDT for KES

Ghana: cedi corridors, mobile money and banks

Unigox runs live GHS corridors for buying and selling USDT with Ghanaian cedis, with local payment options quoted directly in the app. Ghana was one of NoOnes' loudest markets; it is also where thin liquidity will show up first if exchange partners migrate. Set up the alternative before spreads tell you to.

Buy USDT with GHS · Sell USDT for GHS

India: UPI and IMPS with verified counterparties

Unigox supports buying and selling USDT in India through UPI and IMPS, with every counterparty KYC-verified. That last part is the whole game in India: frozen bank accounts almost always trace back to receiving money from a stranger in an unverified P2P chain. We wrote the definitive guides on both problems:

Buy USDT with INR · Sell USDT for INR

Europe: EUR on SEPA rails

If you are an EU person, NoOnes is not a judgment call anymore; transacting with a designated platform is prohibited from 23 August 2026. Unigox runs EUR on SEPA rails through regulated European partner infrastructure, fee inside the quote. We ran €100 through the major EUR on-ramps so you can see the math.

Unigox vs NoOnes

Unigox differs from NoOnes in three structural ways: who holds the money (you, not the platform), how trades are secured (on-chain Gnosis Safe escrow, not platform promises), and who you trade with (KYC-verified exchange partners, not mixed tiers). The full picture:

What about CoinCola, Binance P2P and the rest?

None of the platforms below are on the EU designated list, and each can work depending on what you optimize for. Honest rundown, because "best alternative" articles that only praise the author's product are ads:

  • CoinCola moved fast on the NoOnes news and has a real NGN merchant network. It is still chat-led P2P with platform custody. If you loved the NoOnes trading style, you will feel at home; you will also inherit the same model's weaknesses.
  • Binance, Bybit, OKX P2P have the deepest books and often the tightest raw rate. They are also where most of the frozen-bank-account stories come from: huge semi-anonymous books and release-on-trust settlement. Fine for pros who vet counterparties themselves.
  • Sell-only apps (fixed-spread cash-out products) are fine for small one-way sales. No buy side, no rate competition, usually one country.

Unigox's bet is different: verified counterparties, non-custodial settlement, and one all-in quote instead of a chat negotiation. If that is what you wish NoOnes had been, that is the product.

Switching takes about 20 minutes

  1. Download Unigox (iOS or Android) or open unigox.com/exchange.
  2. Complete verification. Self-serve, minutes, one time.
  3. Withdraw your crypto from NoOnes to your Unigox wallet. You control the keys, so this is a real withdrawal, not a transfer between platform IOUs. Pick a network you understand; Tron and Solana are cheap for USDT.
  4. Export your NoOnes trade history (trade IDs, chat logs, transaction hashes) while you still have access. Taxes and disputes do not care that a platform got sanctioned.
  5. Make your first trade small. Learn the payment window and release flow with an amount you can afford to have in limbo for an hour.
  6. Ignore anyone who DMs you offering to trade off-platform "because of the sanctions." That is how funds disappear.

FAQ

Is NoOnes banned?

For EU persons and entities, transacting with NoOnes' designated entity is prohibited from 23 August 2026 under the EU's 21st sanctions package. Outside the EU, no; your local law decides, and the risks are indirect: liquidity, banking partners, and counterparty flight.

Can I still use NoOnes in Nigeria, Kenya or India?

Legally, yes as of today. Practically, expect the platform to get worse before it gets better: thinner books, wider spreads, slower disputes. Most traders are setting up a second platform now instead of during the rush.

What is the best NoOnes alternative in Nigeria?

Unigox, if you want NGN bank transfer with verified counterparties, non-custodial funds and one all-in quote. CoinCola if you specifically want another chat-P2P merchant experience. Binance P2P if you want maximum book depth and accept the freeze risk that comes with it.

Does Unigox work with M-Pesa in Kenya?

Yes. KES corridors run on M-Pesa with automatic matching and on-chain escrow. Start here.

How do I move my funds from NoOnes to Unigox?

Withdraw from NoOnes to your Unigox non-custodial wallet on a cheap network you understand (Tron or Solana for USDT), then trade against your local currency. Withdraw first, before liquidity or banking friction makes it slower.

Is "NoOnecrypto INC." the same as NoOnes?

The EU annex lists "NoOnecrypto INC." as one of 14 designated crypto platforms. Sanctions analyses by Chainalysis and TRM Labs carry the same name, and industry coverage ties the entity to the NoOnes marketplace. NoOnes' own terms are governed by Panama law, one of the six jurisdictions the EU named. As of this writing we could not find a public response from NoOnes.

When does the EU ban take effect?

Adopted 23 July 2026; the transaction ban applies from 23 August 2026.

What does Unigox verification require?

Standard KYC: identity document and a selfie check, done self-serve at unigox.com/verification in a few minutes. Every trader on the platform has passed it, which is exactly why your bank stays calm.

Bottom line

NoOnes caught the Paxful diaspora in 2023. In 2026 it lost its founder to federal charges, lost $8 million to a hack it disclosed late, and landed on an EU sanctions list. You do not have to wait around to see how that trilogy ends.

Set up the alternative while it is a choice, not an emergency:
